EuropeanPWN – Mentoring at the Côte d’Azur
EuropeanPWN Nice-Côte d’Azur is offering a mentoring program to promote the sustainable professional progress of women through all their career phases.
The Mentoring Committee is a group of women from different countries & continents with broad international professional experience. The Mentoring Committee coordinates and manages the mentoring program matching mentees and mentors, providing guidance and training and opportunities to share best practices.
What is Mentoring?
Mentoring is a voluntary, developmental partnership through which a more experienced person (the mentor) shares her knowledge and skills to support someone else (the mentee) in achieving her career objectives.
The mentoring goals, and the processes to achieve these, are jointly defined by both mentor and mentee.
Mentoring is a powerful tool for learning and growth for both parties. Research suggests that working with a mentor in the world of business can make a big difference to the professional advancement of a mentee.
EuropeanPWN Nice-Côte d’Azur Mentoring Programme includes:
- Online resources such as this page and the EuropeanPWN Mentoring section.
- Mentoring Guidelines for a fruitful mentoring relationship. You can download this document below.
- Mentor and Mentee Matching. Mentors and mentees are matched by the Mentoring Angels on the basis of short Mentor and Mentee Profiles describing their motivation, expectations and practical constraints such as location, time and preferred language. The profile forms can be downloaded below.
- Once a year a Mentoring Workshop is conducted where the framework of the EuropeanPWN Nice-Côte d’Azur Mentoring Programme and the mentoring process are explained, tips for success shared and mentees & mentors have the opportunity to meet in person. At the end of this workshop mentoring pairs are formed depending on the interests and skills and experiences of mentors and mentees.
- Contact partner at the Mentoring Team. Each mentoring pair has a Mentoring Angel, who monitors the mentoring relationship and helps in case of questions or problems.
- The Mentoring Team collects feedback and lessons learned from participants to continuously improve the EuropeanPWN Nice-Côte d’Azur mentoring programme.

Comments from Mentors & Mentees
“She is helping with virtually every aspect of my MBA applications. I discussed my application strategy with her, she provided me with all her study material to prepare for the required standardized tests (thereby helping me to reach 750 at the GMAT), she proofread and provided inventive ideas. A 6-star-mentoring-relationship!”
“My co-mentoring relationship in the context of the EuropeanPWN programme has been very effective and in surprising ways. I say surprising because we have been able to tackle some quite deep-seated issues because, I believe, we have managed to establish a really safe place to tackle things that, in my case at least, haven’t budged for years!”
