Wendy Buckley
Mentoring Platform Manager
(Why is this so hard?) People reading my CV think I have done a lot of different things. I believe it has all been seamlessly headed towards my career as a “business ecologist” – making the most of corporate resources to help them delight their customers by improving their experience. I have spent 22 years in software development in public and private companies, large and small. I have mostly worked at the interface between technical and marketing departments and am equally at ease with the language on both sides of the great divide – and I don’t mean the channel! I obtained a “late MBA” a couple of years ago and took a sabbatical year to hone my consulting skills. I have been married twice and my son, Callum, is a film maker. I have forty years experience as a stage actress – I revel in applause!

I am currently prospecting for missions as a freelance consultant/instructor in and around the fields of Project, Change and Quality Management.
After over 20 years of experience in multinational, high tech companies (NXP, Philips Semiconductors, VLSI and Digital Equipment) in Sophia Antipolis, France, and Munich, Germany before that, I feel well equipped to facilitate and support change initiatives by creating synergies with empowered teams.
I introduced and managed business unit-wide Quality (ISO 9001 and EFQM) programs and took on responsibility at business unit level for a division-wide program to improve business processes, especially project management. While at Digital, I worked on internationalization and localization, which, at the time was leading-edge.
I’m a German national, but have lived in several countries outside of Germany for most of my life (Egypt, Latin America, South Africa, and now, France). My husband is English and I have three young adult daughters.
I thrive in diverse, multi-cultural settings in a changing environment, am intensely curious and like meeting and working with interesting, positive-minded people.
