How Coca-Cola is dealing with the Gender Equality

The Coca-Cola Company has set aggressive goals to help accelerate the recruitment, development, advancement and retention of women leaders. Gender diversity is a key driver of Coca-Cola’s sustainable growth.

  • CEO Muhtar Kent guided the 2008 launch of the internal Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) to help expedite these goals
  • WLC is made up of 15 senior female company leaders from around the world – including European head of Public Affairs & Communications Charlotte Oades and the President of Coca-Cola Germany Business Beatrice Guillaume-Grabisch

Three core strategic areas:

  • The advancement of women in leadership
  • The creation of an enabling culture that values personal sustainability
  • The engagement of the whole organization with the WLC’s work
